Many of my clients come to me after years of reticence to start therapy or a number of experiences with providers that just didn’t feel right. I often work with folx who feel like they don’t fit in to our society - particularly those who come from marginalized identities and/or feel like they are “too" much,” “too sensitive” or feel their internal world is “too complex to be understood.” I truly believe we all deserve good, attuned and aligned care that fits our personality, values, cultural contexts and pace and am committed to building that for my clients.

I’m trained as a licensed clinical social worker and work as a psychotherapist, graduate-level adjunct professor, and ADHD coach. I am also a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional and have training in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). This means I think about your mental health within the context of your holistic health, your intersecting identities, and your current and previous environments.

I have been an adjunct professor at the University of Chicago, Erikson Institute, and the Hartford International University for Religion and Peace teaching courses including: Decolonizing Clinical Social Work Practice ; Healing Trauma from the Inside Out; and Infant Observation. These experiences give me a range of perspectives and tools that equip me to support my clients, all of which I hope to be able to use to support you as well.

I believe building a therapeutic space is co-constructing a work of art! Let’s make something beautiful together!

  • A yellow armchair with a pillow, a black round side table with a glass vase of white roses, and a glass oil diffuser, set against a plain white wall.

    Adult Individual Therapy

    Everyone deserves space.

For folx of marginalized and/or collectivist identities it can be really hard to take space or center oneself. Therapy is a reflective space that is meant to center you. Sessions are 45-50 minutes online.

  • A young child sitting on a white textured blanket surrounded by toys, books, stuffed animals, and craft supplies. The child is holding a wooden spoon and appears to be playing or exploring.

    Child Therapy

Supporting children through the adversities of life truly takes a village. I am happy to be a part of yours.

Therapy provides children with the space to explore their internal world with a safe, caring adult. The result is that children gain strategies for emotional regulation and thriving through stressful situations. Children engaged in therapy ultimately move toward higher levels of self-esteem and self-confidence have stronger social skills, and weather the transition between stages of life with less difficulty.

  • Close-up of a bride and groom holding hands; the bride's hand has intricate henna designs and jewelry, and a floral bracelet, while the groom's hand is partially visible with a ring; both wearing traditional attire with detailed embroidery.

    Couples Therapy

Relationships don’t need to be hard.

Often couples are stuck in a “dance” that creates the same challenging arguments time and time again. I work to help couples dance together with greater synchronicity. I provide couples pre-marital counseling and couples therapy to help fortify and strengthen the bond between individuals in a couple.
